Our clinic is a mix of field service and in-house cases with the capability to hospitalize patients as needed. During this one-year internship, there would also be an opportunity to help with research on equine podiatry, consisting of imaging and videos before/after treatment and data collection. Emergency work would consist of being on call 50% of the time with use of the truck to get to the clinic and client as needed. Salary for the year is $30,000 with health insurance compensation of up to $200/month, malpractice coverage, and licensure and dues being covered as well.

Our goal is to provide an internship that allows new graduates to develop into seasoned, highly capable, veterinarians. We hope that a well-motivated intern can use this opportunity as a springboard to their next endeavor whether that be a specialty residency or private practice. Interns are involved in every aspect of case management from client relations to surgical decisions as their confidence and abilities progress.

Our program is designed to provide graduate veterinarians knowledge and experience that will ultimately prepare them for clinical practice or a residency program. You will gain experience in internal and emergency medicine, sports medicine, surgery, advanced imaging, regenerative therapies, alternative medicine, dentistry and reproduction. Special emphasis is placed on providing excellent mentorship. Three positions are being offered and applications are accepted until positions are filled.

Woodside Equine ClinicWoodside

The goal of the internship program at Woodside Equine Clinic is to provide a comprehensive learning experience in all aspects of an advanced and progressive equine clinic. Guidance will be provided by 9 experienced clinicians/veterinarians in the fields of lameness, surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, reproduction, acupuncture and chiropractic, as well as advanced dentistry. This internship experience will provide a foundation for advancement in private practice or an academic residency.
