The American Association of Equine Practitioners is committed to providing quality continuing education experiences to its membership.  Case presentations showcased during the AAEP Convention and accessible through the AAEP website are chosen and posted based on their educational merit.  While the case information does not need to be novel or original, it should provide a comprehensive and practical review of a specific clinical problem in an individual horse or a group of horses.  Presentation of a systematic diagnostic and therapeutic approach to a common equine medical problem is encouraged.

The AAEP is soliciting submission of case presentations in a PowerPoint format from student members of AAEP and from veterinary graduates, in their first year of equine practice or internship.  There are no limits to the number of case studies that may be submitted; however, a primary student or first-year graduate author must be identified for each submission.  Submissions will be reviewed by members of the Student Section of the Scientific Review and Editorial Committee for their quality and educational merit.  The primary student or first- year graduate author of the three submissions that are selected as the highest quality and educational merit will each receive $500 and complimentary registration to the 2020 AAEP Virtual Convention & Trade Show.  Veterinary students and first-year graduates are encouraged to work with mentors in the preparation and review of their submissions.

Submissions are due on October 26, 2020 at 12:00 AM ET.

Winners will be decided, and all applicants informed, no later than November 25.
